Rob's motivation to start

My Expanded Circle has come about as a result of an idea that I had nearly 10 years ago. When I first moved to London I was overwhelmed by how much there was to do and how many people there were. The only stumbling block seemed to be actually getting to know people.

Now I'm a pretty sociable guy and working in sales and living in a shared house I got to know quite a lot of people, but sometimes I'd want a change from all of that. Trekking around the country to catch up with old friends was one alternative, but I thought there was a need for people to meet up with other people locally or to pursue similar interests. After talking to several of my clients and friends I realised that it is a common feature of living and socializing in London and other cities.

What we aim to acheive

My Expanded Circle is here to fill this need. So if you're bored with going out with the same people after work and spending half the night talking shop or want a change from going out with house mates then give our service a try. Alternatively you might just want to join in some of our London social events and London social groups or use our services to make new friends and organise you and your friend's social lives a bit more efficiently.

Whatever the reason for joining, I'm sure you will enjoy being a member. This website will evolve through being shaped by your feedback. The service will become more refined over time, offering you better value for money each and every step of the way.

At only £35.00 per annum we have kept the costs as low as possible. The price reflects the cost of developing and maintaining the site as well as paying wages. This could have been reduced even more if we had gone for banner advertising etc. but I am keen to avoid this route as I personally find it so irritating.
